One-Pot Synthesis of Ultra-Small Pt Dispersed on Hierarchical Zeolite Nanosheet Surfaces for Mild Hydrodeoxygenation of 4-Propylphenol

The rational design of ultra-small metal clusters dispersed on a solid is crucial importance in modern nanotechnology and catalysis. In this contribution, the concept catalyst fabrication with very size platinum nanoparticles supported hierarchical zeolite surface via one-pot hydrothermal system was demonstrated. Combining gel ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) as ligand precursor during crystallization process, it allows significant improvement dispersion support. To illustrate beneficial effect bifunctional catalyst, high catalytic performance almost 100% cycloalkane product yield can be achieved consecutive mild hydrodeoxygenation 4-propylphenol, which lignin-derived model molecule. This instance opens up perspectives to improve efficiency for sustainable conversion biomass-derived compounds fuels.
